[VIDEO] Mushroom season! 2018 Fall

So the mushroom season has visited us again, and I’ve gone mushroom hunting as usual. Amazing haul this year once again!

My family’s basically been eating wild mushrooms everyday since I started getting them..

And here’s me trying out the coral mushroom for the first time, and making sure they’re safe to eat. It’s been couple weeks and I’m still good, so this one’s apparently ok ^^

VIDEO: DIY Garage repainting/repairing!

My garage was looking pretty old and wrecked, so I decided to clean it out of old paint and give it a new shiny coat of paint.

When removing the old paint, I used the Citristrip paint remover gel:

Here’s how it went with that:

I also tried removing the old paint using heat gun:

Before going in there with new coat of paint, I repaired the cracks and separations on the door:

To top it all off, I installed a fresh new bottom seal to the Garage Door, and now it looks brand new! nice!

[VIDEO] Beach Fishing! Fluke

I went fluke fishing on the beach at Great Kills Park in Staten Island. I used squid strips as bait. I did good, but I saw other guys using lures called Gulp lures like this:

Beach fluke fishing definitely requires some skill. I’m still working on it.

Have a happy fishing this summer!

Spring Trout Fishing Begins! [video + map location]

Every sprint, whenever the trout fishing starts, I go to Ramapo River to fish. This is the parking spot and you can go fishing right on the river.

Last year, I went to Pequannock River. You can park and go fishing from this location:

I also made a video last year:

[VIDEO] I assembled a 14′ trampoline all alone!

So in our backyard, we used to set up the above ground pool every summer, but we’ve noticed that the kids had suddenly grown up and started to feel like the pool was tooo small… or something, and naturally, they asked for a trampoline instead this year……. [sigh].

So we bought the Exacme 14 foot trampoline with a good enough weight limit for a grown up person. The shipment came in 3 heavy boxes, and from reading the online reviews, it sounded like you need at least 2 people to assemble this comfortably.

Well, since I had no one to help, I decided to do this on my own, but surprisingly, it was easy to set up. In the video I show you how I did it!

By the way, Youtube is such a great place to share such info, and others have shared as well, and I’m just adding to the wealth of info out there 🙂

It’s always fun to watch the kids see the new installation of some sort, and this was no exception. They were so happy ^^

Bonus fact: Trampolines make for an amazing napping zone:
